Ashmal Ali joined Connolly Krause LLC as an associate attorney in 2022. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ali worked at a small general practice firm in Detroit, Michigan where he gained widespread experience in areas including corporate law, commercial litigation, real estate, public pension, and personal injury.

 

He received his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law graduating cum laude in 2022. While in law school, Mr. Ali served as President of the MSU Law Student Bar Association and worked as a student clinician for MSU Law’s Civil Rights Clinic, where he represented incarcerated individuals in Section 1983 litigation. In addition to earning his law degree, Mr. Ali was admitted to the Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute, a two-year litigation intensive certificate program that covers every stage of the trial process. During law school, Mr. Ali clerked at a legal aid clinic and a general practice law firm. 

 

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Ali completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia, majoring in Communication Studies. During the last two years of his undergraduate studies, Mr. Ali worked as a student intern for the University of Georgia School of Law’s Child Endangerment and Sexual Abuse Clinic.

 

Mr. Ali grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia and enjoys spending his free time exploring the city of Chicago, cooking, and performing stand-up comedy.
