NOT GUILTY

Jeremiah P. Connolly and Rachel D. Kiley obtained a defense verdict on behalf of Standard Parking Corporation in a premises liability case where Plaintiff argued that she tripped on a concealed irrigation line.

Plaintiff sustained severe comminuted distal radial and ulnar fractures, wherein the bone was protruding through the flesh. She underwent open reduction and internal fixation of the distal radius, application of a uniplane external fixator, excision of the distal ulna, and debridement of the open fracture including skin, tissue and bone.

She subsequently developed an infection which required an additional debridement procedure, and has extensive scarring. Her medical specials were $73,290 and her loss time from work was $11,500. She also claimed damages for pain and suffering. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty.
