In June 2010, Jeremiah P. Connolly and Gregory V. Ginex obtained a defense verdict on behalf of Tishman Speyer Properties, Tishman Speyer Holdings and TST 525 Monroe in a toxic mold exposure case where plaintiff alleged permanent brain damage as a result of working in the 525 W. Monroe building in Chicago.
Plaintiff alleged that she was exposed to toxic mold while working as an attorney for the law firm of Katten, Muchin, Zavis. The defense contended that plaintiff was not exposed to toxic mold and that plaintiff’s alleged cognitive dysfunction was due to plaintiff’s extensive psychiatric history. Plaintiff asked the jury for 16.5 million.
