CK Attorneys Obtain Summary Judgment in Elevator Case

CK Partners Mike Krause and Rachel Kiley successfully obtained Summary Judgment on behalf of their clients in an elevator case on the eve of trial. The court was presented with Summary Judgment motions for two defendants arguing that a common carrier, owing the highest degree of care, did not have notice of an industry standard elevator upgrade and as a result, the mechanism of injury, and injury itself, was not foreseeable . The court granted summary judgment in favor of defendants with a pending demand of $2m.
